The purpose of the initiative is to further strengthen the bond with the Pakistani community in the United Kingdom and to celebrate their success in various walks of life. The Convention will also provide a common platform to the elected leadership of the British Pakistanis to exchange views and discuss ideas for the betterment of the community. Syed Ibne Abbas, Pakistan High Commissioner to the UK will preside over the event. Besides the inaugural session, the Convention will have two sessions and discussion will take place on Diaspora's role in furthering Pakistan-UK relationship and Youth Engagement and Women Empowerment. The speakers will be a mix of MPs, Lords, Councillors/ Mayors and experts from various walks of life.
